Souhair
founded the Souhair Dance Troupe in 1989. The Troupe performs dances choreographed by Souhair and other
well-known choreographers. Souhair
bases her dances on classic Egyptian belly dance and integrates movements and
highlights from ballet, jazz, Chinese, Spanish and Hawaiian dance, creating a
fusion of styles that embodies Toronto’s rich cultural mix.
